My car was having intermittent starting issues after having 2 starters replaced in less than a year. I dropped it off at 7:30 on Monday to be diagnosed as to what could be causing starter failures. At 3:30, I called and was told my car had not been looked at yet. I did not want a rush job so I offered to let them keep it overnight to start on the next morning. At 9:48 I called and was told they were about to bring it in. Just over an hour later, John called to tell me the car wouldn't start and I would need a new starter to the tune of $712. He repeatedly emphasized that the car wouldn't start at all so they were unable to diagnose anything else. I made the 15 minute walk back to the shop, paid almost $150 in diagnostic fees, walked out to my car and it started on the first try. Literally. The. Very. First. Try. I walked in the shop and was told John is at lunch until 1. So. If you really and truly need help, don't go here. The girls in the office do not care, the guys in the shop do not care. If you have money to burn replacing obvious things in a process of elimination, this is your shop. Update: Car has started every single try since leaving this shop. I went into this shop with the intent to spend money. I have body work and interior work I needed done. But what I asked for was someone to give some concern and really tryi to diagnose my car. Not to give the most immediate knee jerk response to replace the most obvious part. I'm an older woman. I guess I looked like an idiot to these people. They ripped me off for $148 and didn't even bother to look at my car the first day I dropped it off. I needed help. If you need help, go elsewhere. UPDATE: Car battery tested bad at a different shop. Replaced the battery, car is operating perfectly. The starter was NOT bad. These fools were going to rip me off even more.
